Need Space
Spring 2025
Need Space was a semester-long project in which I created the original concept for a sensory-friendly themed environment designed for individuals on the autism spectrum and their loved ones.
Beginning with blue-sky ideation, I developed preliminary plans and sketches, and produced key art by combining Photoshop work with AI rendering to enhance the visuals. I also designed detailed staff and operation plans to ensure a safe, supportive, and guest-focused environment. Alongside the creative development, I conducted extensive researchinto best practices for autism-friendly and sensory-conscious spaces, incorporating safety, accessibility, and inclusivity into every stage of the design.
Graphic Design
The Need Space brand was designed to be friendly, captivating, and charming, an identity that feels inviting to families while also resonating with younger audiences through its fun and approachable style.

In addition to brand development, I created a cohesive visual identity expressed through marketing materials, themed merchandise and employee uniforms.

The Planetary Playground is an inclusive space-themed play area where neurodiverse and neurotypical children alike can release energy, explore, and connect through imaginative play.
Stargazing Cove

Process

In the Stargazing Cove, guests can decompress in a serene, immersive landscape as constellations drift by. Enclosed by a geodesic projection dome with acoustic paneling, the space features soft ambient music, low sound levels, indirect lighting, rubberized flooring, and comfortable lounge seating to create a calming, restorative environment.
